@vasta Nice! I'm pretty happy with mine too: "Sorecerer Loco."

@eli That one about ISBN's is really fascinating! Just a note: It looks like you have the same link (To the story about ISBN's) in your last item (Twitter Aliens) too.
@JohnPhilpin I think there's something wrong with that link (the Juan Cole one).
@darius - I'm catching up on your RFC blog and just read 21. Reminded me that after learning about him in grad school, my wife once proposed a Jon Postel Halloween costume in which she'd put on a beard, and hand out strips of paper with IP addresses on them.
@pratik Ha!
@pratik Agreed!
@jack This is really neat! I haven't read the whole article yet but wanted to mention how much I'm enjoying it already! Thanks for posting this.
@darius I'm not a programmer (Though I am starting to try to learn a bit to see if I like it), but this seems like a really great way to go about it! I may have to try to adopt this as I learn!
@PBones I've been thinking that from the start!
@DrOct I will say that reminders lists between my wife and I sometimes don't sync as quickly as we'd like, though they always eventually do (and lately it's been much quicker).
@pratik I never actually had this problem to start with. Reminders has pretty much always just worked the way it's supposed to for me. I've just heard about others having to do that to fix problems with reminders not syncing (or at least trying it. It seems to work sometimes and not others). I have had to sign in and out to deal with other issues in the past. My photos never got messed up though my devices did spend some time basically re-syncing to make sure they were all up to date and such. Photo's on my Mac for example spent a few hours "uploading" photos though I don't think it actually did upload anything, just spent time checking to make sure it's photos matched what was in the cloud.
@pratik That's too bad. It works for me (for now!) including reminders lists shared between my wife and I. I hope maybe it gets fixed for you suddenly!
@pratik They're supposed to sync though. But when it doesn't work (as you're experiencing) it's pretty maddening, and there's so much opacity in the process of what's happening its' really hard to troubleshoot. Most "solutions" just involve signing in and out of iCloud a bunch until it hopefully just starts working. Not a great experience.
@macgenie Ha!
@robertbrook I just want to make sure you know how much I really appreciate your photos. Whenever a bunch of them show up in my timeline I'm always delighted.
@Miraz The image thing is also a big issue of mine.
@cheri I just saw it, and... Yeah I would not have expected to be so moved by a Gillette ad either. But it's very good!
@macgenie I have a friend who uses Tinyletter for these kinds of things. I'm pretty sure he's included some pictures in some of his letters.
@cheri Ha!
@pratik I'm going to be doing my shed and basemetn next week (when I am taking a day off work to really do it right). I expect to find a lot of the same kind of thing. Lots of instances of the same tool when I really only need one or two. We definitely ran into a lot of that when we did our kitchen.
@linkskywalker Compacting down information that much is VERY satisfying.
@tibz Congratulations!
@darius I've been pretty into reading/learning about early internet history lately. (I've only just started reading your RFC blog but it's definitely something I think I'm going to enjoy) This kind of thing is such an interesting artifact!
@JohnWSheldon This picture is beautiful!
@jemostrom @JohnPhilpin - Agreed. This guy's a jerk. He's done a pretty good job of hijacking the entire conversation to be about that term, rather than anything substantive. It's unfortunate that the video doesn't give us any of the context leading up to the interaction (and keeps cutting), but I have little doubt he was being a jerk to her just beforehand. She called him out on it and unfortunately he just used that as an excuse to contiue to be a jerk.
