@vincent That sounds like a great decision.

@pratik I think the idea is an "Amazon Channels" type of product where you can get content from other networks within your Amazon Prime Video subscription if you buy them through Amazon.
@davextreme @brentsimmons - That being said I have been encouraging anyone who can to move their blogs to something they control a bit more. I've mentioned this here and there but Google+ while not very popular with most people was huge in the tabletop roleplaying community. I'm hoping that a lot of the folks active there will go to, or (in many cases) return to blogging when G+ finally shuts down. Unfortunately many of those blogs are/were blogger blogs and I'm growing increasingly concerned about blogger's future too. I may redouble my efforts to suggest people move to wordpress or somewhere else just in case. I'm really sad about all the stuff that's being lost with the demise of Google+, and I'll be perhaps even more saddened when Blogger is inevitably "sunsetted" by Google. It's been pretty stagnent for a while now.
@davextreme @brentsimmons, I too agree, but do also think there's a place for things Ilike blogger) hosted by companies. Not only have blogger sites been kept dependebly online for all this time without the user having to pay for hosting and a domain, but many of those blogs would never have started at all without a big company footing the bill for it.
@kensanata That is indeed a good response on Goodreader's part! Glad to hear it!
@stickmandiaries I have been in that situation! It can be really maddening until you relize what's going on!
@smokey That looks incredible!
@kensanata or at least Goodreader was good. I haven’t used it in a long time.
@kensanata I use PDF Expert on my iPad. I used to use Goodreader, but like the interface of PDF Expert better (though Goodreader is a good app too)
@cheri @simonwoods @johnphilpin I will be excited when someone modified the Marfa theme to do that!
@Gabz love those movies!
@cheri Well said!
@davextreme Very cool!
@cheri Great article!
@simonwoods That is quality internet content right there!
@pratik Yeah, though I feel like they left things open enough to keep going without much problem. But they definitely knew they might get canceled so they did give us something that could be an actual ending.
@ismh Great quote there.
@pratik Ah! That makes sense.
@pratik Intersting. I don't have a way to see specific appliances, just what our panels are generating at any given time. I probably should have looked into some kind of smart electical panel when we had our panel replaced a few years ago. I am hopeful that our power company will install smart meters in our neighborhood soon, which will at least give me real time data on how much we're pulling from and putting into the grid.
@pratik Oh I'm right there with you on that! Over a year later I do occasionally realize I've gone a whole day without checking on it's performance, but it's still pretty rare!
@pratik I've also been doing various things to try to increase our home's energy efficiency so we can get maximum benefit from the panels. I just replaced our last CFL's with LED bulbs recently for example (admittedly there is some diminishing returns there, going from one energy efficient technology to a slightly more energy efficient technology, but the light is better anyway), we're talking about getting new insulated siding, and there are probably some other things we could do here and there.
@pratik We had the same thing happen here in DC! Our first year has not quite lived up to expectations. We're still happy we did it, our bills are still a lot lower and we feel good about the environmental benefits, but this last year was amazingly cloudy and rainy for Washington. I'm hoping 2019 will be a bit more typical!
@Gargron Wow, that buzzfeed story is really scary!
@Miraz I'm using Marfa! I haven't made a post with a bulleted list in it, yet. But I'm saving this to pinboard so when I inevitabely run into this at some point down the line I'll know what to do. Thank you!
@help Cool, thanks! I'm sure I can work out a way to edit it before import.
